Why

We believe that everyone is a communicator, not just communication staff. We believe in the value of communication and the power of effective communication.

Being able to communicate well is not always easy and can sometimes even be overwhelming. Thankfully, there is grace for us to help us and hopefully grace for each other when there's miscommunication and misunderstandings.

Thankfully, there's also training. Among all the skills we need to acquire to be more effective in our ministry, improving our communication should be high on this list of priorities. EuroCom is about equipping you, YWAMers, with the skills needed to become better communicators.

We're also dedicated to empowering you with the tools you need (think: websites and other technologies) to bring your message across and reach this generation in a way that they can relate to.

However, we recognize the danger of confusing efficient communication with effective communication. In this day and age, communication is becoming easier and more effecient, and there are more channels than ever to bring our message across. However, just because we can communicate easily and efficiently doesn't necessarily mean we have communicated our message well.

How

YWAM is essentially one, big family and we believe in functioning as relationally as possible. However, we also recognize that a certain amount of structure is not a bad thing.

This is best summed up in the values of YWAM: "YWAM is dedicated to being relationship‐oriented in our living and working together..." (Value #13) and "...structures should serve the people and the purposes of God..." (Value #7).

What

EuroCom is the communication team of YWAM Europe and is part of the international network of communication teams operating at local, regional, field and global levels. We are both a team and a network.

EuroCom operates at three different levels:

• Field Office Team which coordinates the communication for YWAM Europe and the regional communication efforts.
• Regional teams operating in the four regions of YWAM Europe: Central, Eastern/Russia, Northern and Western.
  So far we only have coordinators for Central and Eastern Europe. If you would like to work with a communication team for your region or see one established, please contact us at .
• A network of communicators throughout Europe, working together to support each other heal the nervous system and improve the communication between leaders, staff, bases and ministries.

Who

We are passionate, visionary, big-picture, communicators, writers, coders, photographers, designers, working both full-time and part-time.

We are passionately in love with Jesus, passionate about reaching the lost and passionate about seeing God's kingdom increase.

We also believe that YWAM and YWAMers are strategically placed to make an impact in this world and bring His kingdom to the lost.

Join

There are many ways you can get involved with EuroCom:

• Take one of our Effective Communication Workshops (ECW)
• Join the EuroCom network. For now, that means joining our mailing list. This list is for the use of communication staff in Europe to send out general news, announcements and requests for help. (Don't worry, so far there hasn't been much traffic, although we hope that will change in the future, and you can unsubscribe anytime you want to.)
• Join one of our communication teams, either on a European level or on a regional level (Central, Eastern/Russia, Northern and Western). There are opportunities to work both full-time and part-time as well as working virtually (i.e. wherever you're located now) or moving to one our offices.
